I have never read anything by Nancy
Mehl before mainly because I am generally not a big suspense fan. However, I really did enjoy this book. This is book one in the Defenders of Justice series.
Mercy Brennan has let her past form her into a loner. No one can get too close except for her good
friend, Tally. Tally has been the good
encouraging friend. She also had a
boyfriend, Mark, who used to be her partner.
All three of these people are dragged into a situation with the cartel,
and suffer the consequences.
There are many twists and turns in
this story. You think something is
settled. You THINK something is settled,
and it isn’t.
I really did enjoy this book. There was suspense with a touch of romance,
which is a good combination in my mind!
I would give this book 4 stars!
